The 'Agitation collar' is designed with an integral handle that can be useful when teaching criminal work to Police and security patrol dogs.
The 1 1/2 inch wide, 4 to 4.5mm thick, English bridle leather used to create this collar, is fitted with solid, cast brass metalware that won't rust. The handle is 3/4 of an inch wide and is secured to the body of the collar with solid copper saddler's rivets. So too is the smaller dee ring underneath the handle, giving the handler another option for lead placement, depending on the exercise being undertaken.
The placement of the buckle and main dee ring is such that when a dog is 'giving it the big un', there is no need for the usual leather buckle guard that you often see on agitation collars, as the design of this collar keeps the metal away from the neck at all times, in all positions.
A second leather keeper is also fitted, to keep the free end of the collar tight against the main body while being used.
Shown here in black English bridle leather and hand stitched with black thread, the agitation collar is also available in 'Dark Havana' and 'Australian Nut'
